The respectable will always be with us

The utter shame I felt when listening to survivors of the Irish industrial school system speak about their ordeals last week on Canadian radio... I haven't really been able to put it into words.

But I thought Ann Marie Hourihane did a good job of it in today's Irish Times:

Here in Canada there is a similar story with First Nations people...

I had a similar experience listening to Christine Buckley being interviewed on CBC the day the report came out.

That clip is heartbreaking.
