The doctor will see you. And then decide.

Sitting here not quite knowing what to blog about but feeling I should blog.

The worst kind of blogging feeling...

End of the weekend except it's not, as I have a day off tomorrow.

Tomorrow morning, I have an interview.

With a doctor.

I kid you not.

Here in Canada, we have the world famous Medicare, which means you don't have to pay for a doctor.

Which is great.

Except that it means there aren't enough doctors.

Apparently, there are five million Canadians without a family doctor.

Queenie, Himself and Kitty are three of those people.

So when I drove past the Spryfield Family Medical Centre and saw the sign saying lady doctor accepting patients, I was on the phone quicker than you could say 'take your clothes off and get up on the bed there love'.

So I had to make an appointment to meet the doctor.

I'm not quite sure what I should do.

Apart from bring the lashings of private medical insurance we have with me in an attempt to bribe her...

Oh yes, didn't you know, Canada, home of Medicare, has lots and lots of private medical insurance.

Himself and I pay out approximately $200 a month for coverage that includes pharmacare, massage, naturopathy, accupuncture, physiotherapy, counselling, dentist, medical emergency, etc. etc.

Of course, because everyone who has medical insurance pays so much for it, you tend to use it up as much as possible - hence the trips to the dentist, the massages, etc.

Which puts the cost of medical insurance up...

So it goes.

Anyways, I hope Lady Doctor takes us on. That will take a load off my mind.
