Everything changes and everything stays the same

This from Miriam Lord's Irish Times' daily political sketch today:

Once there (in Irish Parliament building), they (Fine Gael front bench) will have come across a press release from Sinn Féin's Arthur Morgan, who is his party's spokesman on their latest relationship with the banks.

Sinn Féin has always enjoyed a unique relationship with banks.

"Morgan to set out minimum terms and conditions acceptable to Sinn Féin for deal with Irish banks," said the press release.

The financial institutions must have been agog. In their hour of need, were they going to get some of their money back?

hahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahaahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

That's cheered me up no end.

That and the fact that Manolo Blahnik has opened a shop in Dublin.

And the fact that we in North America are soon to be joined by Mr. Charlie Bird for a spell.

What's that, Charlie?? I can't hear you!!

La plus ca change, la plus ca c'est la meme chose..... as they say in Paris Fashion Week.
