Bloc Party had a very nice time in Halifax apparently

... and so did we.

At their concert.

Which was held in the Marquee Club, which was good, because it meant old arse Queenie and her old arse Himself could sit down and still see everything.

Himself pointed out that yet again, we were the oldest giggers in town. And the band look like they're twelve.

But he agreed they rocked.

And Queenie was most impressed at how tight the set was, and how like their albums they sounded. Which must have been tricky considering all the layering that goes on them.

Another one struck off the list.

Now, if only Radiohead would come here instead of Boston the next time.

Or even after Boston.

After a dry spell over the last couple of years, SonicBoom, whoever they are, and Live Nation are really stepping up to the mark with a series of great gigs in the city recently.

Last night, BP, Kathleen Edwards and Chris Isaak all played the city at the same time.

Hopefully Kathleen will come back soon so we can catch her too.

About time we had some good tunes.
